The blow-outs are gawd-awful to behold but somehow this team wins the close ones.

If we can just avoid shooting closer than 5 feet we will really start to roll.

HoopDreams or someone has to explain why we haven't done more of this rim attacking with our guards. We are pretty quick. We also seemed thicker than Furd. They are very skinny.

Finally, during Furd's last possession, why didn't Bears put a defender on the in bounder? That could have backfired. The inbound pass was too easy. GO BEARS! HUGE WIN!

We make free throws at home, not on the road. The German experiment is not working. He is getting worse. Thorpe doesnt look like the answer.

How many teams win when shooting around 30%?

OD - My advice: just enjoy the win. Yeah, we have some things to address but this was a huge win...over Furd no less. The time will come to figure out how we get better, but today is a GREAT day for the team. Let's give it a few hours to just be happy.

Nice win, Bears!!

Once again, defense was solid.

Proud of this team. And especially nice to beat the Furd.

Go Bears!!

Props to Joel Brown for the huge defensive stop at the end. He's had a rough year but that stop was a game winner.
Props to Fox for going with 4 guards. Our guards were playing much better than our bigs.

Won't mean much to most of you but for those who know what I'm talking about here goes.

The family still plays Pokemon Go (I know, I know, but you'd be surprised. Still one of the top mobile game apps in the world and it keeps me busy while I walk).

Anyway, Stanford has a lot of Pokemon gyms - one of which is on their actual gym (Maples). My wife promised to drop this on there tomorrow for the benefit of the Stanford students who play the game. Hope they enjoy it.

A few hours back from the game... When we were down 39-28 and we had missed 9 out of 10 from inside eight feet, I had to leave my seat and get a drink of water, in disgust...

But somehow we clawed our way back and got a win. I was pinching myself to make sure it wasn't a dream. Kudos to Bradley, South, Austin and everybody else who contributed. Too bad for the overrated Stanfurd Cardinal and their small, tepid fan base.

Go Bears!

I'm not picking on ya, OD. I know you're a sturdy golden bear. Just didn't want you to miss the enjoyment of a great day in a variety of ways. Sometimes we don't get enough of those and we gotta appreciate them when we get one.

I'll say this about fox. The team plays good defense.

That last stop against Davis was textbook. My favorite was watching Kuany stop his guy from driving twice in the same possession. This team is as good at stopping point of attack then any cal team I can remember.

The offense on the other hand.....

I think it's clear fox is a very good defensive coach. So it's going to come down to whether he can recruit some shooters.

Well he was the answer on the last play of the game. Hands up, no foul, caused Wills to alter his shot on the layup and get it off just a wee, tiny, teeny, weeny, itsy bit TOO LATE!

Yes was impressed how Kuany moved his feet on D.

I like Klonaras' presence in the lineup for some reason. I want to see more what he can do.

Paris set the tone early with the aggressive jam. He needs to keep attacking the basket.
