Lock would also be accepted, as in lock down defense - not to be confused with this guy:

ESPN has it downgraded to 10.5
*CJ Elleby had 27 and 12 Reb vs ASU in a W. His step back trey with 4 seconds left clinched it. Similar numbers from him defeated O.
If HoopDreams sees this or anyone else wants to give it a try: How does a 6'6 guard put up elite Big Man rebound numbers (14 in O game)? All I can think of is quickness, jumping ability and desire.
Sometimes the stats reflect team rebounding scheme vs individual effort. Under Monty, he would have two bigs box out under the rim and Allen Crabbe would pick up loads of uncontested defensive rebounds. Some coaches have their PG get these in order to initiate the offense, others will use their best offensive player (Crabbe) in order to force the opposing key defender to pick up defensive assignment early. Others will use a deep passing big in this regard (Kevin Love and Christian Laettner did this alot).bearister said:

I'm sure this has been discussed elsewhere, but was there ever a chance that we could have used the connection through his dad to get him to consider Cal? It's not like Wazzu was a significantly better program than Cal, even in the Wyking years. I'm just surprised that there was little to no mention of him as a recruit given his dad played at Cal.
