I like the incoming class more than most based on their videos. I have posted about Monty Bowser before. I think he is solid and he has shown a lot of physical improvement in the last year. I don't know if he can be a difference maker. I feel better about Jalen Celestine based on a recent search.
First there is his summer highlights:
I like that he is left-handed. I like how smooth his jumper is. I like how he can come to a hard stop and shoot from any range. This guy is going to score.
So summer highlights may be deceiving so I went to look at his high school games: The high school highlights are confusing. In more than half he does not play. I wonder if he was injured, as he might be the leading scorer for the team, Long Island Lutheran, the #12 team in the country. In the video Iinked it shows him hitting three 3s. He does not do much with the ball like in his summer video but just lurks on the perimeter.
On 2/8 at 6pm (pacific, maybe) his team plays Sierra Canyon, now #2 in the country. I think the game will be available on the Fox Sports Go app, like, strangely, most of Sierra Canyon's games are.
I think next year Celestine will be the #3 scorer behind Bradley and Grant A. I could be wrong.
