So ESPN isn't showing real time stats. And I can't seem to find a site with them - can come one help me out?

Watching the game but only second half... and announcer said Washington was 3 for 16 on free throws - is that true/possible? Thanks in advance!

Stat keeper has altitude sickness. I saw him barfing.

Well that's a pretty good showing in Boulder. These turn into wins next year.

Take care of the ball and make free throws and maybe even a W this year. Frustrating.

Maybe like last weekend? Playing a top team close, then win on Saturday?

They were in it until the end. Saw only the 2nd half. Future looks bright.

We need to get one of those Ivy League grad-transfer PGs, even if only as Brown's back up. Guaranteed 15+ minutes-per-game, probably more.

I didn't see any of this game and only listened to last 15 minutes of second half
Looking at the box score, I saw we shot a better percent from 2 and 3, but had horrible FT shooting, lost the rebounding battle big (gave up lots of offensive rebounds), had reasonable turnovers, but lost in the fouls column

end result was colorado had 5 more possessions and 7 more points from the stripe

however, I'm encouraged by this loss because we shot so well (except from the FT line) and were able to keep a pretty good offense at home and at attitude to a score where Cal still had a shot

I thought Kelly would have a good game, and it looked like he did offensively
Paris continued to play well (and yes, we will miss him next year)
Bradley continues to do what he does despite all the extra defensive attention he gets
and Thorpe and Kuany continuing to learn the hard lessons

Perhaps dumb question: Is Buff's Shane Gatling related to former Warrior Chris Gatling.?

Cal shot 26% better in the 1H and the game was tied. That's an absurd stat. And unfortunately, this is becoming a bit of a pattern.

Some of it can be explained by cal's style of play. We rarely crash the boards (so we can get back on D) and we don't really try to create turnovers. So it's expected that the other team will have more shot attempts.

But the disparity in shot attempts can't be so crazy that the game is tied when you shoot 26% better.

It's fine to play like Virginia. Playing conservative can be very effective. But, like Virginia, you have to get the small details right if you go with a conservative style. Boxing out, not creating really dumb turnovers that lead to fast breaks, careless fouls, free throw shooting, etc.

With all this said, I'm extremely encouraged by what I'm seeing. We have been extremely competitive against two tourney teams in Oregon and Colorado. Clearly, we can win with this style of play.

The team has brought into fox's philosophy. You can see a clear plan on both offense and defense. You can tell the players are starting to get the general idea of what fox wants to do. The next step for next year is to get the small details right. Once that happens, this team could be pretty good.

I wish Ted Robinson would pass out because of altitude issues. Furd playing...he doesn't make that comment.

His voice elevates with excitement every time the Buffs make a good play and/score. Not so when we do. It is so obvious he should be pulled. There is no objectivity here. I am pretty sure he also knows how we feel about his announcing and does not care much.

Let me add. Great effort at altitude and on the road. Hope fatigue does not set in for game two vs. Utah. Actually, we should be very ready for 1000 feet less in altitude but the tail end of road trips don't often bode well.

For the first time in my long life, I was not watching all the games last year when the play was so bad. Win or lose, the quality of play on the floor is a total turn around. These young men are being coached and playing with heart.

I thought Robinson was pretty fair last night. Appreciate the distinction he made that Lar's high GPA was at Cal. The only time I find him truelly insufferable is when the furd is involved.

Most efficient offensive performance of the year and second best eFG%.

Have to agree with Donnie Mac that Fox should get some consideration for P12 COY though I suspect it will go to either Altman or Boyle depending on how things shake out down the stretch.

In the second half, because of my perception, I was looking for it. When Bey would make a play the inflection would be over the top. When Bradley came back and answered, not so. Pretty ho-hum. But then I must admit to a strong bias with Robinson.

They were painful to watch, weren't they? I hope that, the day after their last game of the season, they can hook Joel Brown up with a shooting coach and start from scratch.

Brown usually is a decent foul shooter. But like everyone else, not on the road. Very frustrating. Thieman, I expect. The rest should be shooting better.

Brown is 5 for 18 (28%) with horrifying mechanics. Time to start over. More generally, I wish Cal would not recruit perimeter players with broken shots.

Brown, like Paris, Matt, and JHD, has a pretty quick slash to the hoop. He can get people in foul trouble, thus he needs to perfect his FT.

And Colorado is a good defensive team

Even with the game on the line buffs couldn't stop us

Unfortunately their two guns made big plays and there was also that scramble play that ended up with a score and foul for 3 unfortunate points

Yes, he is. It's actually lower than his FG% and his 3pt%.

Except neither Brown nor Austin are good finishers once they get to the hoop. Austin just chucks up the ball hoping for a foul while falling down.

Brown has scored a few basket this season with some of the wildest, out of control, near impossible finishes I've ever seen. It is the easier drives in between that he has problems with.
