not much chatter about Karisma Ortiz, but as a 6ft PG adds an interesting dimension to the team.

played at arch bishop, a top team with a disciplined style, where the coach said glowing things about her. see below.

transferred to Texas who is a top 20 WBB team, and sat her soph year due to transfer rules

not sure how she did in her one year of playing at Texas, but sounds like she had a small role


FRESHMAN [2018-19 at Penn State]
Played in 30 games with 24 starts for the Lady Lions.
Averaged 25.4 minutes per game, 3.6 points per game and 4.2 assists per game. Was second on her team with 68 assists on the year.
Led her team in assists in eight games and twice scored in double figures.
Tied her career high with 12 points and added seven rebounds at Northwestern [Feb. 14].
Knocked down three three-pointers leading to a career-high 12 points vs. Ohio State [Jan. 17].
Charted career-best marks in rebounds [9] and assists [6] in a win against St. Bonaventure [Dec. 9].

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I have been looking at her as an insurance policy in case one of our injured players needs more recovery time or can't make it back at all. But she may surprise and command some rotation time under any circumstance, especially if she can guard PAC-12 players. It is also nice to see someone from our local area getting a chance for a Cal grad degree or a graduate program certificate.
