Lots of opportunities to pull some upsets. That is actually a good place to be this year, since any unexpected upsets will get us some publicity.

I'm also anxious to see which non-conference teams we will be playing. Might be some opportunities there to make a statement.

Thinking about the ranked Arkansas team that visited Cal and left with an L.

well our strength of schedule would be very high, but if we placed 10th I don't think we would have the wins needed for that high a ranking

but in theory, yes

It is a good thing that San Jose State and Bakersfield State are not in the conference because Coach Smith's team lost to them last year.

But only 3 top 25 teams (Furd at 3, Oregon 10 and USO at 15). UofA may be rebuilding some, but the Pac is lot better and deeper than projected.

Also, lot of what did they do last years lazy projections. The LA schools have had some big recruiting years and it is time for them to be top 25, ahead of the UofA which may make the tourney but will be rebuilding.
