I actually have always felt like it was a disservice to the women's game to have their tournament going on in the shadow of the men. Start the season later, and let the Women's Final Four be a month, or a few weeks later.

An equitable revenue-sharing plan similar to the men's tournament in place this past season would have been a significant financial boost to the conference given our representation in the final game.

Shout out to Coach Smith for adding her voice to this very important and long overdue conversation. Go Bears!!

Unfortunately, we are always left with the problem of supply and demand. The Men's Sweet 16 had an average viewership of 12.9 million per game. The Women's Sweet 16 had an average viewership of 911,000 per game. And now the structure and financial model for all college sports may be going through a huge shake-up with as yet unknown consequences.

Agree!
Why not have the women's Final Four/Championship 2 weeks after the men's tournament?

For those who are fans of both MBB and WBB they end about the same time, and then we'll left with horse racing

I guess the point of the report is about leveraging the dollars if both are on the same weekend. There is analysis here that I'm not getting, but I figure that's on me.

I think that's the idea, but if they did that I think the men's tournament will drown out the women's tournament
