It has been good to get people back from injury, to let new players like Curry emerge, and to gel as a team over these non-conference games. But now the real season begins. It is always tough to win on the road. But if we are going to take a step up, versus having a developmental season, we will need to beat Washington and WSU this weekend. I would settle for a good developmental season, but it would be great if we can do more than that.

I agree. Although Cal was picked last in the pre-season, I believe that Washington & ASU might be the weakest teams. In any event, I think that the Bears can compete with 'em. Now-we get hit with Washington's cancellation.

I was hoping for the road split with a win in Seattle and perhaps a loss in Pullman. I will write up an anaylsis of the Cougars (8-3) probably on Thursday. I don't want to do it too early in case of another Covid-19 cancellation.
