Was just on the Boneyard and they have listed UConns non league schedule. They are scheduled to play at Cal on Dec 22
Good for the fans also. Down side is UConn gets exposure and can try to poach top Bay Area talent.ClayK said:
But it's fun for players (not so much for coaches) to play against a team like UConn -- and the loss hardly matters because it's expected. And of course, you never know ...
We got blown out and so did Stanford. UCLA lost but fared better.wifeisafurd said:Good for the fans also. Down side is UConn gets exposure and can try to poach top Bay Area talent.ClayK said:

One thing that should be apparent after watching UConn, is they play at a much faster pace than wanna bees like Cal. So do the Irish and most other top teams for that matter. I'd like to take credit for this observation, but it came from Tara. In any event, good game for basketball fans to watch in person. Cal seems to be replacing Furd for the west coast opponent on the UConn's schedule. Note, Gottlieb and Geno are buds.
She could have already signed with the Bears by the time the game is played. Early signing period for basketball is November 14-21. Some players like the challenge of building a national contender and playing close to home so mom and dad can see them play on a regular basis.Schroeder71 said:
Haley Jones, the top national recruiting prospect of the class of 2019, will be invited by both teams. If Cal is humiliated, it will probably ensure that the Mitty star will end up elsewhere. OTOH-if Cal plays well, it could certainly enhance their chances...GO BEARS!
Can Geno and the UConn women get any more exposure? Their games are on national TV and there is a lot of press coverage as well as other TV publicity. Suspect that Geno can poach any player he wants without any exposure from playing Bay Area teams.wifeisafurd said:Good for the fans also. Meant that the UConn program does not need to play games in other teams' backyards to get exposure.wifeisafurd said:You mean like Sabrina?roqmoq said:Can Geno and the UConn women get any more exposure?
