A bit of a surprise in OSU's opening 79-54 win over Cal Poly. In spite of all of the height that they have recruited, they went with basically a four guard line-up. Grymk started, and then Corosdale came in to replace her. Aquino didn't play at all, and Morris got only two minutes. However, Destiny Slocum is obviously the real deal with 15 points and 8 assists in 25 minutes. Looks like it might take awhile for their new big people to develop, as was the case with Hamblin and Gulich.

It is hard to recruit height that has the talent of Hamblin and Gulich. I have them down graded after watching that game to a fourth place finish in P-12. Rueck offense relies on strong post play with a strong inside defense and it was almost non existent for the most part. They are very vulnerable against P-12bigs right now.


Rumor on some fan pages is that Aquino has some sort of serious medical condition where she is not cleared to play.
