With the regular season closing, it looks like UCLA has had the most success in outperforming the predictions. After losing Canada and Billings, they were picked for sixth, but have come back with a 12-6 league record and have moved into the national polls as a top 25 team. They also have put together an excellent recruiting class for next year.

However, as with all teams, the real success of a season must be achieved in the tournaments. Will be interesting to see how all of the PAC12 teams perform in these upcoming events.

UCLA will lose three of their top four scorers like Cal to graduation. The major difference is that the Bruin's top scorer, a sophomore, Michaela Onyenwere, will return. The lone Bear top scorer is Kianna Smith.

Your final point will have to work for Cal because this will be the Bear's final opportunity to advance deep into the
NCAA Tournament with Kristine Anigwe. It may provide the only chance for the HC Gottlieb to save her job by advancing to the Sweet 16 or the Elite Eight...

Unless a miracle happens in recruiting, Cal will likey fall to the bottom of the conference next season and have to rebuild. It may be the time for a coaching change because Gottlieb & her staff has fallen behind the rest of the conference in recruiting. I would have to rank the incoming 2019 class near the bottom of the league. GO BEARS!
