OK...is anyone else going to the tournament??

Does the MGM Grand have a good sports book for watching other games??

I'm across the street at the Excalibur for the tourney...

I'll be there rooting for Cal and Utah.

I know you're asking the Bear fans, but I'll be there, cheering on my Bruins.

I'm not going to the tournament this year, but have spent a lot of time in Vegas.

The best sports book, hands down, is at Westgate (the old Hilton). You can take the monorail from MGM and straight shot all the way up.

Caesars and Venetian sportsbooks are well worth your time as well. Bally's is an amphitheater style seating. A bit dated relatively speaking, but a nice sportsbook.

Arizona is taking it to USC. Up by 23 at half!!!

Watched March to Victory online as team and band boarded busses at the hotel.

I'm genuinely surprised by how roundly the WoT got beaten today... they lost 76-48. The Trojans had been playing really good basketball in the second half of the season, and I honestly thought they could give Oregon a decent run in the quarterfinals. Clearly that's not to be. Weird.

Men's basketball is a game of emotion, and women's basketball even more so. Teams get hot or cold. They bow under pressure or ride a wave of momentum.

Arizona and USC were pretty even on the power rankings. Things just went the wildcats way.

Cal could lose tonight, and so can Utah, but neither is likely.

The Moore sisters were 2-20 tonight. The Trojans are not going to win many games when they shoot like that.

Three point shooting. Washington hit on 40% and OSU 28%. Goodman, a 42% three point shooter, came up totally empty with 0-9.

Enjoyed the PAC-12 Network showing Close's post-game speech to her team. She still has the same competitive fire she had years ago as a four-year starting point guard on UCSB's great teams.

The commenters noted while interviewing the Washington coach that she kept asking her team (while they were winning against Utah) "Are you having fun yet?" She said they were there to have fun because everyone expected them to lose and go home early.

When you're feeling good you shoot well. When the pressure is on many tense up and shoot poorly.

The best 3 point shooting teams shot much worse under pressure in the tournament.

Besides playing for fun instead of feeling the pressure, when a team gets hot their confidence improves.
When the calls are going against a team in can deflate their mood and shooting suffers as well.
Mood and momentum matter.

Washington had nothing to lose in their two games, and when momentum shifted Stanford's way late the shooting difference snowballed.
