Outstanding news!! Excellent recruiter! And we take her from a strong PAC-12 program!

Looks like a great hire! Among the other accolades this got my attention: "Phillips also excelled in track and field, setting the school's outdoor shot put record." I suppose if any of our players might benefit from a little tough love we have that covered.

She is taking a parallel position and was at Arizona for only 9 months. She thanked Knowlton, Simon-O'Neill then LG.

I'm sure Knowlton could use a little appreciation right now.

I was hoping for a more experienced hire off of one of the game's top coaching trees. Once again, no senior associate head coach who might bring about major changes.

Since I have been critical of Gottlieb and her coaching staff for their inability to recruit top talent-I have to admit that I'm smiling right now. The addition of youthful April Phillips as a top recruiter and a post coach fits the bill.
She was the recruiting coordinator at Arizona and we all know how the Wildcats have been on the rise. They just won the WNIT.

Arizona landed no US players in this year's class. They did sign four international players, principally off of the European connections of Barnes' husband and associate head coach, who used to coach professionally in Europe.

Congrats. AP is a superstar.

Speaking of, Arizona got a visit from UNC grad transfer Stephanie Watts. Very proven guard, could be as good as Aarion McDonald.
