While we are building pretty much from scratch with freshmen and sophomores, Arizona is working to move up through some additional transfers in.

"Yeaney entered the transfer portal at the end of January, citing a desire to be closer to her Oregon home."

Yeah right.

With the new transfer rule, we will be spared such hypocrisy. Young adults and their families will make decisions that they feel are best for them without having to resort to such tactics.

Miller has been living on transfers on the men's side as has Altman with Oregon men.
Arizona women seem to be following that path. Where would that team be without the McDonald transfer?

Well...AZ is closer than Indiana! She didn't say it had to be in Oregon.

If we have an NCAA tournament next year, I'd expect Arizona to at least make the Elite 8.

Arizona also now has seven non-American players on their roster. That is the other way to try to get better quickly. They even have a new freshman guard on their roster named Derin Erdogan from Istanbul, Turkey. With that last name, that is called pulling out all of the stops.

One of our best foreign transfers was from Turkey. Nihan was a very good player plus exciting. Was here in the Horstmeyer years.

I don't think Vukadinovic was a transfer - but that was in the Foster years.

Milica was a better player but I was commenting more on being from Turkey.

Yes, Nihan transferred from South Carolina, though seems like she stopped at a JC in between.. Boy would I love a transfer from South Carolina these days
