The Pac-12 beach championships are a few days away, and Cal is ranked #11 in the most recent poll. They will have to place highly if they are to make the NCAA championships in may. Will face Spamford on Thursday

Thanks for all your information. The beach VB team seemed to not jell very well this year. they had 5 seniors play this year, four who played last season. do you think the covid restrictions played a part? with the new freshman brooke, ava, maya and grace, one would have thought they could have won many more matches. anyway thanks for your posts and good luck to the bears against stanfurd.

They mixed the bottom 3 pairings a lot this season due to injuries, and that hurt them against higher ranked opponents. With everyone healthy now, expect them to beat Stanford, a team they split even with (2-2) in the regular season

Quick update: after losing to Stanford in the first round, the bears "ate" the Ducks in a 3-0 sweep in the morning and pulled off a tough nail biter 3-2 against the Wildcats in hot afternoon weather. They will face the winner of the Stanford-ASU game tomorrow morning at 10:45

Bad news: Things did not go Cal's way as Stanford beat them in a sweep, ending their chances of a pac-12 title and a spot in the ncaa tournament
