Kirk Everist's boys have now beat USC, UCLA and Stanford. Looking at a #1 seed heading into the MPSF.

What a terrific group representing Cal.

Was watching the Big Splash on Pac-12 Bay Area (Comcast #1330) yesterday evening "tape-delayed".

Cal goalie Adrian Weinberg had 15 saves.
He was on fire!

It was standing room only.
Garrett Dunn tied the game with 3:13 left in regulation at 10 - 10.

Said Weinberg, "There was one point where I just looked around at the atmosphere and just got a rush of adrenaline,"

"I was dead tired, but I totally forgot about it because I just thought about the crowd and the situation."

If you've never been to a match at Spieker you owe it to yourself to attend a match some day.
It gets rowdy and it's fun!

GO BEARS!

Couldn't happen to a more deserving group. One of the key Stanford players totally screwed Cal in the recruiting process.
Which Furd player?

The crowd was great yesterday . Best I've seen in a while however it was nothing compared to the crowds in the 80's & 90's. Here are a couple photos for reference.
Crowds were pretty wild then.

Beck Jurasius committed to Cal for a long time, then bailed-he's good, but our 2m is better.

Cal and USC are currently both ranked #2. SC might be ranked #1 midweek since they defeated #1 Bruins on Nov. 6 while Cal beat #4 LSJU.

But the Bears are in the driver's seat going to MPSF championship (Nov. 19-21):

Nov 10 (Wed) / 5:00 PM
at Santa Clara

Nov 13 (Sat) / 10:00 AM
Berkeley, CA Spieker Aquatics Complex
vs UCLA

He played for Campolindo and is the son of a Cal Business School professor.

The rankings don't have any influence over seedings or selection for the NCAA champs, but it would be cool to see Cal & USC ranked 1 together...not likely given Cal's bad loss to Pepperdine.

Regardless, hope it will be a raucous crowd Saturday morning...will USC fans show and root for Cal?

Basically, if Cal wins they get Stanford in the MPSF semis and if they lose they get UCLA again.
