11-10 today at Spieker.

We are now 14-1 and our only loss is to Furd.

George Washington is on the schedule for next Saturday at 1PM at Spieker.

Next game is on the road Thursday against LB State.

GO BEARS!

14-10 final...am guessing that it was a typo.

Bears came out strong, leading 5-1 in the second quarter then held on when SC cut it to one several times, including 10-9 iirc...Weinberg looked to be at his best again with several point blank saves and the outside shooters made 'SC pay for crashing on Papa who still managed to draw at least two penalty shots. All in all, a very strong showing for the Bears.

Great offensive game executed today by Cal vs their nemisis, USC. GO BEARS!

Probably one of the Bears better defensive performances this year. Some mental lapses on offense in the 4th led to a couple of sc counter attack goals to cut the lead. The Bears regained their composure to go back on top by 4 which they led by most of the game.
They have so much offensive fire power and if they can play D like they did today they will be hard to beat.
Also, ucla beat Stanfurd 10-5 today so the bears could be back at number 1. Believe they were tied at #2 with la so could be a tossup.

At one point they were tied with ucla, but Cal is #2 by itself. It will be interesting how they shuffle the deck this week.

Me as well. I'm guessing UCLA will be #1 since they cut down the Trees. Who did they lose to?

UCLA lost to Furd earlier in the season at the MPSF tourney. Just like us. By 1 goal.

My guess is UCLA takes over at #1 and we remain #2.

USC lost to Pacific so since we beat them, they stay at #5.

Polls come out on Wednesdays.

Gotta imagine that UCLA gets voted to #1 with Cal close behind simply because the Bruins beat the common opponent that Cal lost lost to…not that rankings matter at this point.

Have to think SC has an uphill battle to make the NCAA tournament at this point.

Just noticed the the Big Splash will be at Stanford while the Big Game will be at Cal. They used to be at same location. Anybody know why this has changed?

Was at Spieker today for the match against the GW Colonials.

A terrific Fall day with decent sunshine and a bit of a breeze every now and then.
A very well attended match with the stands filled to capacity.

Halftime honored the Cal Men's 1992 NCAA Championship Team coached by Steve Heaston.

This was the team that finished 31 - 0 and defeated Furd in 3 OT's (12-11) to win another Championship!
This ended a period in which Cal had won three straight Championships . . . ''90, '91, and '92.
They would not win another until 2006 and 2007 with wins over USC.

Bears prevailed fairly easily by a final score of 24-10 over the #19 ranked Colonials.

The Bears will travel down to SoCal next Saturday with a match against #1 UCLA

Then against SJSU in San Jose on Sunday, Nov. 6th

Before taking on Furd down on The Farm on Nov. 12th.
