The California State T&F meet is the grand daddy of all state track meets. It will be held at Buchanan High School in Clovis June 1-2. Here's an update of many of our 2018/2019 recruits and if they made the meet or not, in their event and their performance ranking with time/distance. If I missed anyone, especially football players please include.

Looks like Reece dropped about 5 seconds from previous year MOC. Way to go! Our middle to distance runners seem to struggle during Pac-12 and the regional NCAA meets or they were absent from competition. Know a coupe of distance runners transferred out to other Pac-12 schools LY. Has Reece committed yet to any school?

Reece has a few options including a year at Chabot CC. However he wants to go D1 now, he is very pumped up.

really think we should try to recruit the WCAL more. Bellarmine has produced a ton of guys (one heading to Boulder and one to Furd this yr alone), and St. Francis has come on really strong under the Pompeii brothers. can't remember the last WCAL guy to come to Cal.

This year frosh Benjamin Micallif middle distance runner is from Bellarmine. My guess they did try to recruit the runners that are going to Stanford & Colorado but both decided to go the 2 of the elite XC & Track schools.

Other notes:
Reece Proctor - Almost but no cigars & was the last non-qualifier in the 800 coming in 13th.

I'm bummed about Reece, wasted opportunity. Could not make it down to Friday's meet. he got boxed in and could not get around the tangle in time. I told him to get out of trouble at 200 and take note of the pace if it was too slow. They went through 400 in 57 which was too slow but he did not react in time. Lesson learned.
