Tough loss for the Bears 4-3. LSU scored twice in the bottom of the 9th, scoring 2 runs with 2 out, after the inning was kept alive after a swinging 3rd strike got away from the catcher loading the bases.The next batter promptly single to drive in the winning run.

Game 2 . Bears take the lead 5-1 with a 5 spot in the top of the 6th. The first of 2nd games today due to expected rain tomorrow.

Cal wins game #2 5-2, in a 7inn game. Grant Holman was the winning pitcher. 2nd game of the dh'er to start at 2:02pm. Game is also scheduled to go only 7 innings due to the expected rain.

Another close loss to LSU 5-4 in the shortened 7 inning game. Cal led 4-1 after 3 innings but LSU scored 4 unanswered runs. Cal doesn't look like they have a 3rd starter rather it is by bullpen committee! Hopefully Jared Horn will come back this year.

First, thank you so much for posted the box scores.

Question: Mcilwain is listed as a Soph in baseball.
Football: RS Junior.

I can't see any way that he's not a Junior academically. What am I missing?.

Wondering if it has something to do with eligibility left for each sport. I'm sure initially he was on a football scholarship so maybe he wasnt allowed to play baseball his first year.
