Is it underway? I read it was suppose to start construction at the end of the Spring season this year. Anyone have any updates? Any webcam like we had for the Memorial Stadium? When is it suppose to be done?

Former HS All-American Pitcher and 2016 NC runner-up (Cal Cruisers) Chloe Romero is headed to Cal.

Hard to gauge where she is at- she hasn't really played in two years. She barely pitched her Freshman year at Texas and redshirted this past season. Welcome to Cal, Chloe!

Slight. Concern about her not having pitched last two years, but could complete a "dynamic duo" with VA. How was she going to get innings against a pitcher who just went 18-3 with a 0.65 era. Should get plenty of work here.

Longhorn to leave UT's softball team this offseason

Romero was a heralded recruit out of Helendale, Calif.., when she joined UT's 2017 recruiting class. As a freshman, she pitched just 16 innings and went 1-2 with a 5.69 ERA. In what will likely be used as a redshirt season, Romero did not play this spring and wasn't among the 20 players who were allowed to dress in the postseason.

this Texas writeup suggests to me the Texas and Romero breakup (parting) was mutual and was brewing for several months if not years. Obviously the Texas softball coach and Romero had significantly different opinions of her ability. Cal will give her a platform and let her try and redeem her reputation and recognition.

Time will tell. A very low risk gamble for Cal.

Welcome, Chloe Romero! Cal's pitching is an unproven commodity heading into the spring of 2020. Alex Perez returns as soph southpaw that was the Bear's #3 pitcher last season. Two freshmen RHPs will debut in Sona Halajian and Maggie Joseph. There are a couple of other position players that were dominant pitchers in high school: Aleia Agbayani is a frosh LHP from Hawaii while Mickey Coelho is a junior southpaw and outfielder that's
on the team. It should be interesting how the competition plays out in the fall...GO BEARS!

For a #20 rated player out of SoCal Chloe had an interesting group of offers: Harvard, N Carolina, Penn St. CS Fullerton Hawaii, & UT. Interesting that there are no offers from a Pac-12 school, and that the P5 schools that did offer aren't the hotbeds of college softball, UT being an exception.
DN has played the transfer game pretty well the past few years.

She has?

They've been awful. Time DN to go into retirement.

I am so puzzled by DN. For instance, the JC graduate hire for volunteer assistant.
