He was my favorite player last season and led the team in most offensive statistical categories plus great defense. Pillar is age 30 and is evidently too old for the "rebuild" of the team. Please trade Brandon Belt-he's the same age and has never delivered HRs and RBIs as a first baseman. Since the new GM Farhan Zaidi decided not to offer closer Will Smith or top starter Madison Bumgarner either-then let's really go for the youth movement to remake the nucleus of the SFG. Posey and Crawford should be available for the right deal, too. They are in the same age bracket.
How do other life long Giant fans feel? We won World Series championship in 2010, 2012 & 2014. All the starting pitching is gone and the infield is age 30-32. Joe Panik was traded and he was the youngest (27)... The one guy that I would resign that doesn't fit the formula is Pablo Sandoval (Panda). He also is a free agent.
