I'm so glad that Reece finally spoke out. I think the whole Cal Swim community needed to hear from him. So proud of his courage and so proud that he is a Cal Bear. He is such a great representative of the University!

As often posted on our humble little board, Reece is a truly Golden Bear in and out of the pool. Can't wait to see what the future holds for Reece as a Bear and hopefully as an Olympian.

I've had the pleasure of getting to know Reece and his wonderful parents. Reece was being recruited by every top swimming program in the country and by that certain school across the Bay. Reece selected Cal for a number of reasons, including his belief that Cal offered the best opportunity to achieve both his academic and athletic goals. We are lucky to have Dave Durden as our head coach and athletes such as Reece representing our university.
