A rash of earthquakes hitting the China Lake Naval Air Warfare Center in the last hour.
Even made National news, although since it is a top secret base, it was listed as Ridgecrest.
But the latest USGS map showed all but two of the earthquakes were in NAWC and the other two
were on the border with Ridgecrest. But the big one (6.4) was out in testing range
NW of the command area. Depth was fairly shallow, 5 miles. A lot of expensive R&D stuff out
there.

FWIW the former Kerr-McGee town of Trona is also nearby.
CNN and MSNBC have been reporting that the quakes are near LA, not even close.
News cameras have been showing fires in Ridgecrest, but nothing from NAWC China Lake where all the
earthquakes have been occuring, on the base. And Nothing of Trona which was closer to the main earthquake than is Ridgecrest. Note the water supply for Trona used to pass thru the base, in the area where all the big earthquakes occurred. Trona could be burning (it's half abandoned, who would know) and without their water supply for the foreseeable future. The areas where the damage should be the greatest have not reported.

Been looking at news reports from various SoCal and Vegas outlets and none of them actually specifies the epicenter of the multitude of earthquakes.

Instead they say Ridgecrest, although the old Kerr-McGee town of Trona is closer. Actually it appears almost all of the earthquakes, including the bigger ones are on the Naval Air Warfare Center of China Lake. This area has been known as China Lake for decades; I spent three decades going there on business and never heard the area called Searles Valley.

Even though many of the buildings on China Lake are decades old, as are other R&D facilities; there has been no mention of damage on the Center. Instead it has been an information blackout. Maybe they are working on a 'seismic' weapon. There has always been a lot of 'goes boom in the night' testing at China Lake.

DOD/HSA not willing to reveal news about China Lake? And playing the news media accordingly?
