One important piece of information that came out from a recent scientific study conducted by the US Army is that the flu shot actually makes you significantly more vulnerable to coming down with a coronavirus and other pulmonary infection. The study was done with a large sample size, and the exact percentage of increased risk of contracting CV from the flu shot was found to be 36%.
The flu shot is primarily aimed at the influenza class of viruses (and perhaps the rhinovirus class), which are a different class than the coronavirus.
I wouldn't personally advise anyone from taking the flu shot at this point, especially since we're already well past the normal seasonal peak. In fact it would probably be a good idea to shut the program down at this point.

Influenza vaccination and respiratory virus interference among Department of Defense personnel during the 2017-2018 influenza season
The current pandemic is a Novel (new) Coronavirus identified in 2019; aka it was not identified when DOD was doing it's study three years ago. Using that report for correlating this years flu shots with COVID-19 infection may be comparing apples with wallabies.
In a year or two there may be a correlation discovered, if we collect meaningful data.
FWIW no one has mentioned that this year many seniors were given a different flu vaccine than the general public, reportedly quadruple dose. For a meaningful correlation, there needs to be three categories, no vaccination, standard flu shot, high dose vaccination.
Maybe seniors with high dose vaccinations resisted COVID19 better; with mortality rates lower than seniors with standard flu shots or none. The high dose for seniors was supposed to generate a stronger immune response in seniors.
