This is the same Andrew Cuomo who cost his state countless lives by being slow to pull the trigger on stay-at-home (shelter in place). Even our own Gavin Newsom, probably one of the least culpable in all this, could've been 3-7 days earlier, too. Calling for it much before, say, March 1st looks like 20/20 hindsight, but anything much after March 15th showed a lack of leadership.

We have the government we deserve.

Cuomo's cool leadership under pressure in this crisis reminds me of Rudy Giuliani. Cuomo could also go on to great things.

People don't respond to drastic measures until they see drastic problems. Telling people to stay at home when nothing's happening doesn't work in a free society.
