For those that don't know, Cottonwood Heights is a wealthy suburb of Salt Lake (Romney lives on the town border). It is the gateway to Alta and Snowbird for those skiers trying to figure out the location.

The victim that was being protested was white.

Interesting perspective in what normally is a conservative community, and could suggest how society views police action is changing.

He robbed two stores at gun point and was shot in the back evading police. I'm sorry but I have no sympathy for the guy. Protesters must choose their hills better than this.
This just in: Republicans find another whistleblower who claims Hillary's emails were proven to be on Hunter's laptop while Obama spied on tRump as he sat (shat?) upon his golden toilet. Gym Jordan afraid whistle blower may be in danger of abduction by aliens in cahoots with Democrats.

The cause demonstrators choose to protest for should not influence the police tactics and actions towards those demonstrators.

Agree that, as long as they are protesting peacefully and are not otherwise obstructing justice, then they should be free to protest. However, we are also free to roll our eyes at the protest presenting criminals as some innocent bystanders who had no role in the violence.

Apparently, the white guy is known as "the guy." No one remembers the names of white people who have died at the hands of police.

He had a pellet gun and he was shot twice in the back while running away after crashing his motorcycle.

You think that is a justified use of force?!

One thing that prevented police brutality from being seen as a major issue in the past was that it was generally only happening to blacks and other people of color in the inner city. If the cops are now extending this treatment to white people in the suburbs . . . I think that is not going to help their cause.

Actually Salt Lake City is blue. Cottonwood Heights is where the monied live and defiantly red. The Romneys live on the border of Salt Lake and Cottonwood Heights symbolizing the Senator's intent to be viewed as a moderate.
