I try to do the same. I read mostly WSJ, BBC and Politico. I used to love NYT but it is not as reliable anymore. Sometimes when something big happens to one party, I will check CNN and FoxNews to see the disparity in coverage but both are generally too much opinion than fact to be of much value to me. As far as Epoch Times, I was surprised I had never even heard of them before.

I had never heard of them either until earlier this year. I am glad they are taking the side of the Hong Kong pro-democracy protesters. However, being anti-China does not mean that they should be included in my go to resources for information. I am pretty old school. I like WSJ, BBC, and Politico. Used to love NYT the most, but they are becoming less reliable. I consider what I read in the same way I view what I eat. I don't want to put overly processed food in my system. Same with media. Falun Gong has been unjustly persecuted by China and they are legitimately ticked off. Unfortunately, groups like the Epoch times think that rather than fighting with truth, the way to fight is by opposing everything China says or does whether that be with truth or misinformation. If China says the sun will rise in the morning Epoch times will say it doesn't. I support their fight against oppression in China.
