That's the 16-17 roster not the 17-18 roster.

    Thanks for pointing that out

if calbears.com can have a current roster, why can't this site

    1) what are the asterisks for?
    2) why are some names not bold?
    3) can you sort by playing time depth order? (kidding!)

  8. #8
The bolded names have hyperlinks to their bios.

No idea what the asterisks are for.

MB - the Cal Bears site BB roster should be used as a cheat sheet

All the bios are included and there are no confusing asterisks.

Questions: I thought Anticevich was a freshman, but your bearinsider link roster shows Anticevich as a Senior, and his former school as Newington College. The Cal website roster lists him as a freshman, but also shows his former school as Newington College. I was pretty sure he is a freshman at Cal, but if he went to college in Australia, he may not be a freshman at Cal. Is he a freshman at Cal and is that college he went to in Australia actually a high school or what?

This is from the Newington website: "Newington is a comprehensive K-12 boys day and boarding College. We are one of the six founding members of the GPS - an alliance of independent boys’ schools in New South Wales."

In Australia, "college" has a different meaning and refers to a private school, usually what we'd think of as a prep school or vocational school. When we say college, they say university. So he didn't go to college in the way we think If it.

Anticevich is now a freshman, all bios are now linked and no more asterisks, which incidentally indicated that they had highlight videos on their Bear Insider profiles. We switched the hyperlinks to their Cal bios now, however.

Many thanks to everyone for clearing up the Australian meaning of the word, "college." I will try to remember it, as it looks like we may be thinking of developing a pipeline from that country.
