Baseball OT-Livermore Stampede unveils new NorCal power?

#7 Amador Valley-Pleasanton crushed #3 Archbishop Mitty-San Jose, 8-1, in the semi-finals last night. A trio of sophomores (class of 2014) did the damage vs perennial power, Mitty (15-2), and broke their fourteen game winning streak. Cal recruit, Vanessa Alvarez, was treated rudely in the circle by this NCS team. SS Ashley Lotoszynski homered twice and C Victoria Molina contributed three hits to their attack. RHP Johanna Grauer allowed the Monarchs one run on four hits and struckout ten in a six inning complete game. Grauer has already verballed to ASU (I believe).

Amador Valley went on to win the prestigeous Stampede Softball three-day competition while Mitty rebounded to grab third place. Mitty had won this tourney on multiple occasions previously but maybe a new Bay Area power has emerged for at least the next couple of seasons...

There was a write-up on Amador that they are probably the cream of the NCS. They have even beaten Sheldon..former school to some of the current Cal players.

Baseball Here's the recap of the big game...(link)

Mitty bounced back from a 2-0 first inning deficit against Alhambra to win the third place consolation game, 3-2. Cal Fanatic's former favorite local prep, Kylie Perez, plays shortstop for Alhambra. She pledged to UCLA already. She's another class of 2014 recruit. At least Cal has Mitty's Jazymn Jackson from this talented sophomore class in the San Francisco Bay Area. GO BEARS!
