Bears Work to Shore Up Pass Defense

After generating very little quarterback pressure last week at Colorado, and giving up 353 yards through the air on just 27 completions, the Bears were working avoid a repeat against Oregon State this Saturday.

Two weeks after stifiling Washington State's Heisman candidate Luke Falk, the Bears were not nearly as effective against Colorado's Steven Montez.

"There were a couple of things," defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter said after practice Wednesday. "I thought they (Colorado) did a nice job of changing some of their protections, going to max protection.
