Ruggers Host Navy in National Quarterfinals

In what has become a rite of spring, Cal resumes its annual pursuit of the national championship in rugby 15s when the Bears take on Navy at Witter Field Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Bears (20-2) have won 24 titles in 15s during head coach Jack Clark’s 35-year tenure, including the last two. Should the Bears get by the Midshipmen (10-2) in this quarterfinal they will meet the winner of Saturday’s match between Life University and Army.
