I just finished listening to this, and I'm hoping we get weekly podcasts by Rod.

It's great to hear someone who simultaneously has an insider perspective as a Cal athletic alum, but also an outsider perspective as someone who has lived around the world and doesn't currently live in the Bay. Everyone may not agree with every idea Rod has, but these ideas need to be injected into everyone's consciousness and considered, as some of them are certainly worthy of implementation.

BearInsider often devolves into a back and forth volley of tired and repetitive fan tropes, so I get excited when I hear from someone outside this mold. It's invigorating to hear Rod talk about Cal and what is possible, so I hope this is the beginning of a Benson insurgence into our Cal narratives. I get a similar feeling when I hear Mark Madsen speak, and my fingers are crossed we are beginning an upward trajectory period for Cal hoops and beyond.

Thank you Rod for speaking up, and speaking your mind.

Rod said he will post about every other week (not a strict schedule), at least during the offseason

It has been a month since I listened to this, but I seem to recall Rod mentioning one idea of reaching out to Patrick Christopher and his tailoring company to be involved with our hoops team. Looks like Coach Madsen heard!
