The SEC has made its move, and now everyone else is trying to formulate a response," writes The Athletic's Andy Staples. "The best kind? The one that lands as much of each league's TV inventory in the Four Million Club as possible."

Only OU is west of the Mississippi. For purposes of rating college football the only thing that counts is the Eastern and Central time zones.

Don, it's from an article by radio host/writer Andy Staples, whose basic theory is that unless you get the 4 million audience for games you don't matter to TV providers. Staples writes well, but otherwise belongs on off topic for his propensity for making brash, unsupported and often illogical statements to drive twitter hits. For example, he said USC, UCLA, the Arizonas and Oregon (and someone I forgot) were going to join the Big 12. That one worked out well. When it comes to business and legal issues, he is an idiot.
