Do they still offer parking at Palo Alto High School? I remember it was about $20 to park there in the past.

Looks like parking at Stanford Stadium is $35, which isn't too bad.

be careful - unless it's changed (and they're charging for it) that mall claims the parking is for customers only; they may tow

I used to park near train station, on Emerson or High st. Just north of University Ave. Residential free street parking. Also it was good for getting back to fwy.

Maybe we dodged a bullet last time but we did park "discretely" and did see other folks using the lot who were obviously on their way to the football game....

Awesome thanks. We tailgated in one of the general lots last time but it was a PITA to get in and out. Trying to find something a little easier but still somewhat amenable to tailgating.

I've also parked in residential areas in the past, but over towards Cal Ave.

I parked at P.A. High School in '19. A great place to park - only a couple blocks from the stadium. Was $20.

Damn Furd is getting worse all the time.

In the good ol' days, they didn't charge to park in most of the areas on campus. We would get there early and nab great a tailgate spot near the corner of Galvez and Cross Campus Rd...

Then, one year, they started blocking off "our traditional spot" for donor parking, so we had to move about 100 yds away...

Then they pushed us about 500-600 yards away...

Then they started charging for that, $20....

Then, last time (or the time before), they raised that to something like $40.

I hope we give these Furdies the whupping they deserve. I will say that I enjoy tailgating there. Too bad it's so much harder to do at Cal.

Go Bears!

I attended every Big Game home and away from 1968 - 2011. Until '02 or '04 I was parking/tailgating under the trees FREE of charge. Times do change - most for worse, some for better. GO BEARS! WE WANT the AXE!

In recent years when I have driven (vs. taking the train) I park in one of the nearby neighborhoods and hoof it to the stadium. I was thinking this year I would like to tailgate. What is the cost to park near the stadium if anyone knows?

Somebody said $35. I seem to remember $40. Remember, the closer you park, the longer it takes to get out after the game. Should be record small crowd this year, but maybe not a lot of car pooling (COVID).

I believe there is plenty of free parking in the Stanfurd parking lots in the trees

The problem is the traffic afterwards, it can take hours to get out of the lots.

We had no problems getting out of the mall parking lot on 2019. It took us hours to get out of the lots in 2017.

I expect there won't be much backup getting out after the game this year because the attendance will be low.

Yes, Palo Alto High School offers gameday parking.

General parking in the lots around the stadium is $35. They open five hours before kickoff (11am this week).

Here's a map. You'll want lot #4, 8, 9, or 13:

Alternatively you can find free parking on campus on the streets around Bing Concert Hall and The Oval (lower-left corner of the map), and in the neighborhood on the other side of Alma St. (upper-right corner of the map).

Thanks for the feedback all. I ended up springing for a Master's GRove pass I found on Craigslist. Hopefully it's easier to get out of there than some of the other lots..
