There's a few Cal targets making their commitments tomorrow that folks should keep an eye out for. (Ranked in order of the likelihood they sign with The University of California. Strictly my opinion)

First is a JUCO offensive lineman from ELAC (East LA Community College) Martin Tine. Martin is a 6-7 300lb monster of an OT who is currently crystal balled by 247sports to The University of California. He has classic OT size and is taller than a prototypical OG but he might end up shifted inside at the next level. He moves better vertically than laterally and while he gets to the second level well to block downfield his narrow base, shallow kick-step, and tendency to let DL get into his pads rather than using his length to hold them off could all have him better suited to play the interior even with unusual interior size. He could be very impactful as a pulling guard though and he's dangerous out in front of a play on the edge.

Next up is Marquis Montgomery a 6-5 205lb WR from JUCO powerhouse Snow College in Utah. Despite his 3* ranking he has some powerhouse programs vying for his services including nikeU who he visited just a couple weeks ago, LSU, Oklahoma, and many more. He doesn't consistently create much separation in his routes with speed or technique but he's a big body WR who uses his size to ward off the defender and go up to get the ball. He took an official visit to campus and there were some good signals from that but I couldn't say if we or anyone else is a clear favorite right now. Commitment coming tomorrow at 7am PST.

Last is Roderick Pleasant the 5-11 180lb CB from Junipero Serra HS committing tomorrow at 10:30am PST. A high 4* recruit we're in his final five with BC, nikeU, Southern Cal, and UC Los Angeles. Great hands, very good speed, even better acceleration, and terrific ball skills. He's everything you'd want in a Corner, especially if he puts on a couple inches and adds elite length to go with the rest of his skill set. He is mostly a man corner at this point but has all the tools to excel in zone at the next level as well. He took an official visit to campus back in October and by all accounts he and his family are very high on the Bears and our culture, program, and atmosphere. Idk how likely his commitment is to Cal but with no crystal ball picks anywhere it seems like his recruitment has been an enigma to many and it could be anyone's win at this point.

Please give to Cal Legends at https://calegends.com/calegendsdonate/donate-football/ and encourage everyone you know who loves Cal sports to do it too.

To be in the Top 1% of all NIL collectives we only need around 10% of alumni to give $300 per year. Please help spread the word. "If we don't broaden this base we're dead." - Sebastabear
