I bought a gold sweatshirt for me and a gold long sleeve tee for a buddy I'm taking on Saturday. It arrived today!

Unfortunately the Gold Outs have never worked - I've been to 2 attempts. For this one, I thought it was a Blue & Gold out which could work alot better, considering wearing a gold t shirt alone to a night game doesn't seem a good idea to begin with. It's no doubt too late, but I am sure most Cal fans have something to wear Blue & Gold. Even my incredible collection of Bear swag only offers two completely gold t shirts and they are basically so worn, I would have to jacket up!

I know Cal alums don't like to conform, but I implore everyone to try this once (hopefully we can get like 60-70% to do it and that should work pretty nicely). You can get Gold Out Haas shirts on ebay for $10 there is still time. You can pick a cheap one up at the ASUC Store, Bancroft Clothing or Bear Basics. It's not that hard.

Dude, dont be lame! Wear a long sleeve or sweatshirt under (preferably white) with the gold tee over the top, and let's not give up at the first hurdle.

It's gonna be cold at night (maybe around 60 degrees?). So it might be better to get a gold sweatshirt, or wear a base layer with a gold t-shirt over it.

Tee shirt hand out is the way to get this done but this will be on the agenda of a more competent admin at some future date, hopefully.

Usually in q but could only add seats trading to T for the game due to my 8 year old and 3 friends coming we'll be in row 1 which I'm nervous about being they are short and I've yet to sit in row 1 since the remodel.
Otherwise I'm in q for all the other games.

Ah that does confirm it was the coach that was fired from Ole Miss before we played them due to the scandal.

Since the remodel they raised the stands so that the 1st row is above standing players. You should be good.

Not really much to ask Cal fans to wear the gold shirts that they already own (doesn't even have to be a Cal shirt), or pick one up at Bear Basics for $15 or less before the game. If we get to 70% participation it would look pretty nice.

I doubt most ticketholders know that it is a gold out. I gave my tickets away because I'll be out of town, but I was not aware of the gold out.

But our athletic department just took out an $11MM loan on top of the existing stadium debt and is too afraid of giving away tickets to students will "reduce their value" so…

I don't expect the "gold out" to be effective.

You can build it into the cost of the ticket and nobody knows the difference and you advertise it as a t shirt game, plus you have a sponsor for two on the shirts. It takes a little planning tho, and our guy's phoning it in from Colorado Springs so…
