Auburn holding its own against Georgia is making Cal's defense look more than respectable.
I was expecting Georgia to annihilate Auburn.

60 now, but he also has close to 100 yards rushing.BearHunter said:

Who cares about Auburn at this point? We have other data points and know what we have in this team. Unless we have another North Texas on our schedule, we are going to going to struggle to get to 5 wins.
We won by 3 points when Vegas had us up by 14. I would say we know how bad we areoski003 said:Unit2Sucks said:

Strength of schedule certainly matters when analyzing our team's performance. Auburn being better than what the blowhards blewhard is a good thing for us. And, yes, we are likely only going to be favored in one of our remaining games.
you're right. consensus is that Georgia and the SEC are having a down year. Auburn I think is improving, they have been simplifying their offense, removing option reads. Doesn't bode well for Cal's road game next year at Auburn.wc22 said:
Brock Bowers basically won the game for Georgia. Without him Auburn would have pulled the upset.

We recruited Bowers heavily. We just couldn't sign him.CNHTH said:wc22 said:

Another guy from our backyard (which is supposedly a cfb wasteland according to some posters while simultaneously producing the most nfl talent of any metro area) that we failed to recruit.

Bowers went to Georgia, not UCLA or Washington, so I wouldn't put that on the staff. When we lose Nor Cal prospects to UCLA or Washington we absolutely should complain.
