if only the transitive property of inequality applied to football.

Auburn holding its own against Georgia is making Cal's defense look more than respectable.
I was expecting Georgia to annihilate Auburn.

And if not for the SEC refs and/or we make FGs and XPs, we win that game.

Auburn's QB has completed only 5 passes for 35 yards.

It is a rivalry game at Auburn.

60 now, but he also has close to 100 yards rushing.

Auburn ties the game 20-20.

Who cares about Auburn at this point? We have other data points and know what we have in this team. Unless we have another North Texas on our schedule, we are going to going to struggle to get to 5 wins.

Strength of schedule certainly matters when analyzing our team's performance. Auburn being better than what the blowhards blewhard is a good thing for us. And, yes, we are likely only going to be favored in one of our remaining games.

We won by 3 points when Vegas had us up by 14. I would say we know how bad we are

Auburn was at home. Road games are tough.

Brock Bowers basically won the game for Georgia. Without him Auburn would have pulled the upset.

you're right. consensus is that Georgia and the SEC are having a down year. Auburn I think is improving, they have been simplifying their offense, removing option reads. Doesn't bode well for Cal's road game next year at Auburn.

Another guy from our backyard (which is supposedly a cfb wasteland according to some posters while simultaneously producing the most nfl talent of any metro area) that we failed to recruit.

We recruited Bowers heavily. We just couldn't sign him.

Bowers went to Georgia, not UCLA or Washington, so I wouldn't put that on the staff. When we lose Nor Cal prospects to UCLA or Washington we absolutely should complain.

We shouldn't lose any NorCal prospects and we should land a good number of SoCal prospects as well. That should be our goal.

Just for you, if Georgia remains #1 at the end of the season, you can say that we almost beat Auburn who almost beat Georgia.
