Cal is #6. I like it mainly because I know it so well.

UCLA would not have made the top 25 nationally using this list.

Still feel there is an argument that Cal should be in the top 25.

Don't you feel a lot of them sound the same.

i don't give a damn. I think Stanford's All Right Now should be in there. So what if it is not a pure fight song. It is the best overall song and you have to give Stanford a nod for originality for picking it instead of another boring fight song that sounds like all of the others. Great song along with "the Stanford jump." BTW, overall, i hate Stanford.

Not really! I f would re[ace it with a new Pac 10, using teams that are somewhat the same that could easily rise to the same level, as the old Pac 12. it be very popular and have a chance to be selected with fewer teams than the Big 10 and SEC, and could be in the running, some years, to get into the national playoffs. Aslo would offer something that the big boys don't have -- the best and mutiple travel location in the country while watching your team play on the road in as Vegas at the Raiders stadium for all games) and almost the best road locations -- San Diego, Hawaii, and games at Cal, Stanfordand San Jose St., which are all close to San Francisco, a famous tourist town.

Teams in the revised Pac 10 would be Cal, Stanford, Oregon, Wsshington St., Las Vegas, Boise St., Fresno St., San Diego, San Jose St, and Hawaii

After a few years in action, the new Pac 10 might be almost as good at playing football and basketball as the old one Bears with much better tourist attractions, every other year, while their team plays, every other year.

A decent to very good football conference, with likely decent bowl prospects, relatively close to one another, with the best tourist destinations in the country. Also, ZERO RIDICULOUS AND MULLTIPLE CROSS COUNTRY TRIIP.

Pretty good ranking. Utah and Arizona are too high. I would drop them to 6th (Arizona) and 7th (Utah) and everyone ahead of them gets a bump up. The ones that rank above Fight for California either have better melodies (Oregon, U$C) or better overall energy level (ASU).

The issue with Stanford's choice of All Right Now is not really in the actual choice but in the execution. I actual think the design of the Stanford band is not bad. It is the fact that they execute the design so poorly. If they were uncontrollably irreverent but actually sounded good and executed their formations well, they would be a welcome addition to the mix. But their sloppy playing and sloppy formation execution makes them an embarrassment.

There was a Drum and Bugle Corps called the Velvet Knights who hit their peak in the late 80s early 90s and were what I believe what an ideal execution of the Stanford Band's concept could be. Challenging the traditional look and stuffiness of a marching band while still showing pride and excellence in what a marching band is asked to do.

Here is their favorite show of mine. A trip around the world themed after the Beatle's song Magical Mystery Tour:

Wow, they are great! That actually looks like something the Cal Band might do at halftime.

The Stanfurd Band... they would be lucky if they could at least sound better, as they did decades ago (before their whole concept completely crumbled).

All Right Now is catchy as a song but I think it's a bad fight song because another school in the conference (USC) also plays it for unrelated reasons. I think any fight song that exists as a secondary song for an in-conference team, let alone in-conference secondary rival, automatically should get dinged. Also looking in UCLA's direction there.
