Really nice piece in the Chron today about Wilcox bringing Rivera, Hawkins, Mack, Hicks etc. to talk to the current team. Especially enjoyed Rivera and Mack's comments about playing FB but also attending the world's #1 public university.

I graduated way too long ago, but they captured the pride/joy I still feel about Cal.

I really do feel like Wilcox may be beginning to get some traction here.

It is GREAT to have former Bears come and talk to the team. Especially in these times of NIL and portal, having players who loved their time at Cal can be a very significant tool for retaining some who might be considering leaving.

Further, did anyone notice the great things Jaydn said about Cal as an institution during the telecast of the spring event? This guy is going to be one of those Wilcox will want to bring back to talk to the team in future years. And with the instability I feel with the portal and NIL, I love hearing the kinds of things Jaydn had to say.
