I watched their entire show the other day and it was long, over an hour, but it was fun to dream again. They are not West Coast guys but think that people are really overlooking how much talent the Bears have and how much came thru the portal. They are diving deep on all Power 4 teams and have talked with people from other schools about some of our portal guys and these two received good word a few and are excited.

Here is the link below:

2 side bars:

1 - They love Memorial and think it is way underrated as a college football venue. One guy raves throughout the show about Memorial. He also references another Podcast he does with another guy who has been to every FBS Stadium for a game and almost all FCS stadiums too. He went to something like 70 or 80 games last year and going for more this year. On their pod they review all ACC stadiums one by one and they absolutely rave about Memorial. kinda fun

2 - They are sooo excited for Cal to surprise people and it makes me think back on most of my my life, and I can't help be slightly cynical and say, wow these two have just become honorary Bears because of the pain they are about to endure. Please let me be wrong lol. Too be far though, they are only podcasters I've seen so far that take such a deep look and they really analyzed the transfers well. They are just guessing, they did a ton of homework.

They approach it from a gambling perspective, they both believe Cal will end up around 8 - 4, so they are both high on the Cal over (which is at 6).

They dont have a lot of faith in Miami, they dont care about Auburn, and they only think the definitive conference loss is at FSU. They mention Cal has a good number of toss ups, but they have home field in a majority of those.

They also note that Pitt, wake, and SMU have had very poor crowds, so the second half of the schedule does not have Cal facing a daunting home field advantage. We will see how much the fanbase for SMU expands if they have a good season.

They also touched on the fact that the travel historically impacted the east coast teams more, simply because the west coast teams are used to traveling farther. Arizona to Washington is a lot farther than having 8 teams between Atlanta and DC (roughly).

They give a very positive analysis of Cal, Berkeley, and Memorial Stadium.

Interesting read. This is from a gambling perspective, and they admit you have to see how the team plays and comes together, but at this point there money is on Cal, and even they are surprised how good Cal looks when they do a deep dive.

They favor Cal in ten games. They say take a flyer on Cal to win the conference given the odds. They are all over Cal's transfers. They say Duchess and Rogers are studs and will start. They say that Cal must be taking football seriously, and much of the stuff they are raving about is due to the collective. They love Bloesch. This is by far the most bullish review I have seen, and I'm willing to admit these guys seem to know what they are talking about when you get past the kinda obnoxious presentation, which I think is the norm for these internet sites.

I take issue with some of their assertions (I have Cal at 7 to 8 wins). They do make a very good point about the east coast team being worse coming west (because they don't do it much and do it badly) than west coast teams going east. We will see. I still want to see substantial improvement on the defense from a team which lost its two best players, Sirmon to the NFL and KEO to TCU. In any event, my two cents. I agree with the guys that the offense has big upside.
