Nope, if we're seriously about making a statement this year, about showing the college football world we belong, then we need to EMBRACE winning, embrace expectations.

And marketing needs to go ALL OUT for next week's night game. It needs to be an event. It needs to be absolutely rocking in there.

And we need to F"in BEAT SDSU next week.

Being ranked in September and early October is important! It is when fans, recruits and the media are first forming opinions about which programs are on the rise. And although most high school senior recruits have already developed their "short lists", that is not always the case.

We can't afford to rest on our laurels or get swelled heads, but let's see how many "W"s we can amass: the rankings will follow, for sure. If we are able to get 8 wins this season, then 9 next season, we would be on a new trajectory! (If we do even better, well, I'm not gonna turn that down.)
