I think we were counting on Wake Forest as a win, but they look decent against Clemson so far.

After one drive each, on WF's 2nd drive they drive down field for a TD.

Wake leads 7-0.

They said this is the first time Clemson has trailed this season since Game 1 against Georgia.

Clemson attempting to restore balance in the universe.

Tie game 7-7 early in the 2nd Qtr.

Clemson QB Klubnik is not that impressive. He misses badly every once in a while.

Wake with an impressive drive for a TD.

Clemson up 21-14.

Wake has some nicely designed plays. They are going to be challenge. We need our D to get some takeaways like what Clemson is doing.

Wake defense is suspect though. Cal's O should be effective against these guys.

I stopped watching the Wake game, but Clemson has doubled their points total, near the end of the 3rd Qtr.

Clemson up 42-14.

Cal better handle Wake !

UNC-GT is a good tight game of ACC teams we don't play this year. Tech up 27-24 with a chance to extend its lead on 2nd and goal.

This is more than a stumble. They're getting absolutely curb stomped by an Iowa team that's good but not "36-10 in the early 4th quarter" good

Whew! We won 41-34 but that 4th quarter was ugly! Still, we made the play when it counted. Their player who had cancer died this afternoon and they were backs against the wall and emotionally pumped. Tough game!

Still, 5-2 with ND coming to Mercedes Benz Stadium for a prime time game next Saturday.

Gotta love college football!

I do enjoy this, because they also could have easily been 6-0 but have lost 3 very winnable games with questionable decision making by their coach. Misery loves company I guess.

Cal's future opponents in order, and how they did today.

Oct. 19 NC State - Lost 17-24 to Syracuse. NC State is 3-4, 0-3 ACC, so they are basically Cal.

Oct. 26 Oregon State - Lost 37-42 to Nevada, which has a losing record at 3-4. Oregon State is 4-2.

Nov. 2 Bye

Friday, Nov. 8 @Wake Forest - Got pasted 14-49 by Clemson. Wake is 2-4, 1-2 ACC.

Nov. 16 Syracuse - Beat NC State 24-17. Syracuse is 5-1, 2-1 ACC.

Nov. 23 Stanford - Got pasted 7-49 by Notre Dame. Stanford is 2-4, 1-2 ACC. At least they have a conference win.

Nov. 30 @SMU (25) - Bye this week. SMU is 5-1, 2-0 ACC.

They're as bad as us now but they've also been in the Rose Bowl far more recently than us as well. TypiCAL that when our peers are on a downtrend while we are on a downtrend and when they are in an uptrend we are still in a downtrend
