Oregon State came from behind and beat Washington State 41-38 with a 54 yard FG with 20 seconds left. The Pac-12 championship is theirs. There will be no Championship game. The Beavers still need to beat Boise State next Friday to be bowl eligible. That's a tall order.

It's been a hard year for us. Just let us have this night, will ya??? Happy for the team and program in an otherwise dark period. And ex-Bears Jermaine Terry came up big for us tonight as well, so did Alfieri.

Good win today against Stanford! Mendoza.....what a baller.

Hey, no diss was intended. I meant it with complete respect for you guys. I was pulling for the Beavers as I watched the 4th quarter. I am from Oregon after all. I feel very badly for the situation Oregon State and Washington State are in and hope you manage to keep the conference afloat and viable. Thanks for the nice comments about Cal and Mendoza.

Go beat Boise State next week!

Always have a soft spot for a team that originated the term "Coug-it", they've always had to try harder. But so have the Beavers, even before they got left out. Good to see it was a tight, exciting game that could have gone either way to decide the title. It should be so for years to come and, who knows - perhaps another realignment of conferences to come, while we're still alive, that includes them both.

My older brother came to visit a few weeks ago, and he is a SDSU alum. He was telling me how he is super-excited to get into the Pac-12 because he believes it will allow SDSU to recruit a higher caliber athlete that they simply couldn't recruit by being in the non-Power conference of the Mountain West.

I didn't have the heart to tell him no one will consider the new Pac-12 a Power Conference.

Maybe not, but this whole thing gonna come crashing down one way or the other. It's not feasible for things to continue as they are. My guess is the end of conferences as we know them will happen in a few years. In basketball we may actually be alright...but no, as of now, in football, it's not. We'll see.

Oh no diss interpreted, don't worry. I was messing around, but also enjoying a rare good day for us this year. I saw you're in eastern Oregon. Some pretty country out there. I'm in Portland.

I tend to agree with you. I just read that Temple is taking a good hard look at their football program and whether it can compete in the new NIL age. It sounded ominous.
