ESPN: Sources: Cal transfer QB Fernando Mendoza commits to Indiana
Coach Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers were seeking a proven successor to sixth-year senior starter Kurtis Rourke following their first-ever College Football Playoff appearance.
Mendoza is the No. 3 quarterback in ESPN's transfer rankings and has two more seasons of eligibility. He chose the Hoosiers after also taking visits to Georgia and Missouri.
The Daily Hoosier: Cal transfer QB Fernando Mendoza commits to IU football
According to multiple reports, Fernando Mendoza has committed to the Hoosiers. He'll join his brother, freshman quarterback Alberto Mendoza in Bloomington next month.
ESPN's Pete Thamel appeared to be the first to break the news.

1. Do you mean other websites, or other threads in the Football Growls forum?
2. If it's a previous thread, then why would SouthKBear start a new thread? Arrogance?
3. Are you referring to the Mendoza to Indiana? thread? It links to TWSN, a website with no news content at all -- just guesses that are likely AI-generated. The person who started that thread made zero effort to read that article critically, or look for corroboration from any other source. And others who fell for it never thought to question the post or the article, shutting off their brains out of their blind hatred for the subject matter.
I mean, even the name of this thread sucks. "Confirmed". That could mean anything, and a few days from now, when the context is gone, it's completely meaningless.
If you start a thread, you are taking on some small level of responsibility. Give it a title that lets the reader know what it's about without having to click it open. If you have news, provide a link to a legitimate source, or explain why a link is impossible -- heard it on live radio, saw it on live TV, witnessed it firsthand.
This isn't journalism, but it is communication, and anything short of that shows a lack of respect for others. I've started a few threads here, and I always check the forum to make sure the topic is new. If it's not, I add my comment to the existing thread.
This board needs moderation to become readable, but in the absence of that, self-moderation will have to do.
I pretty much figured it out by the title. Much ado herebrevity said:Alkiadt said:
