"Our" Lyons has given the strongest mandate ever regarding men's sports and their need to be fully endowed.
He has also made strong comments regarding the success of Cal football being of importance to the overall brand of the University.

Sure about that? Looks like you're accepting the same marketing speak we heard from Christ about "doing all sorts of stuff behind the scenes." We now know how that was all fanciful fabrication with zero substance. Her inaction and deceit almost cost us the entire program. Hardly a "strong mandate" for Cal sports.
I quoted what was said to boosters as a group directly from Lyons, nothing behind the scenes...so the accountability is there,... so "my acceptance" has zero to do with how many programs are continuing to exist moving forward .
Obviously, acting now on women's programs would be dumb until they know how Title IX shakes out. That still hasn't stopped the powers that be from having meetings/dinners with big boosters of women sports...yes, first hand knowledge.
This is/was pretty specific talk, not free message board rumors...
