Nobody's started one. I came here just to say Leonard reminds me a lot of Mendoza. Amazing what you can do with a strong oline.

I found Trump's 90 second pre recorded "rub your f@ucking nose in it" partisan half time stump speech wholly inappropriate. I would have had no problem with a non partisan sports oriented statement. Could he be a bigger A$$H@LE?
Here is the part I take issue with:
" This has been a historic and exciting day for our country. In recent years, our people have suffered greatly. But starting now, we're going to bring America back and make it safer, richer and prouder than ever before. We'll have a nation filled with passion, strength and exceptionalism," Trump said. "Through our power and might, we will stop wars and we will lead the world to peace. We will be respected again and we'll be admired again - admired like we haven't been in many, many years. We'll put America first, and in doing so, we'll make America great again. In less than three months since the election, you have already seen it happening. You can feel the excitement and you can see the confidence and spirit returning to our nation. Together we're going to lead our country to new heights. The golden age of America has just begun."

Also, seems like nobody's watching this. Friends didn't even know it was on. There's just too much other stuff going on post holidays, and nfl stuff. This game is so stretched out from the season people just have fatigue, except for ND and Buckeye fans. This game needs to be played a week after New Year's bowl games.
If Ryan Day doesn't win the national title this year, he should be fired. Not make the title game, not make the semis, win it.

Maybe the orange ******* should quit politicizing sporting events by putting his ugly mug and politics where they don't belong. Another major thumbs down to Disney for bending the knee to Dear Leader…..Chapman_is_Gone said:bearister said:

Sorry, the message was for Americans only.
Sorry you feel that way. One can always turn off the sound or grab a drink. I said policies, not a message…but this is a football thread so I leave this topic to those who want to be on the OT thread.bearister said:Goobear said:

If you would be so kind as to provide the link, I would be interested to review a Biden message played as part of a college or NFL football game that you feel supports your position. You know, a partisan message that basically says "f@uck you" to half of the nation.
I don't think anyone wants to see another back-and-forth political diatribe on these boards since it's not particularly useful for anyone, but I would like to make one point and then drop out of this thread. Over the past eight years, conservatives believe politics were injected far too much into sports/entertainment with the majority of the coverage generally anti-Trump and anti-conservative issues. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, maybe, just maybe (please, oh, please!), everyone can agree we'd like more sports and entertainment in our leisure activities and less political positioning/messaging? I am 100% for that!bearister said:Chapman_is_Gone said:

My comment was completely within the rules of the board in light of the fact it related to a pre recorded speech that was given a prominent role in the halftime festivities of the National Championship Game which is the subject matter of this thread.
I agree that politics should be kept off this board, and out of sporting events, which was the point of my comment. Apparently you didn't take the same offense at politics being injected into the National Championship Game.
You would be better served trying to figure out how to control your impulses when posting comments (OT Board) so that you don't get yourself into trouble with the Moderator.

I'd like to see an example of Biden appearing in the middle of any sporting event, with the exception of the idiotically required appearance on the Super Bowl pregame show, which only started as a political segment with Bill-O and Faux News.bearister said:Goobear said:

He didn't even do the Super Bowl interview last year (though honestly he should have and that was a sign about his diminished capacity).C6Bear said:I'd like to see an example of Biden appearing in the middle of any sporting event, with the exception of the idiotically required appearance on the Super Bowl pregame show, which only started as a political segment with Bill-O and Faux News.bearister said:Goobear said:

"Shut up and dribble" apparently only applies to one side of the equation.
