Clemson down 24-14 to Syracuse at half

SMU down 14-10 to TCU at half

The SMU-TCU game has me very conflicted. On one hand I generally root against Sonny Dykes. On the other hand if SMU is actually bad this season it's an easier game for us in week 14. I'm leaning towards rooting for SMU but really I'm just enjoying the game and whatever happens, happens

TCU scores to go up 35-24 with 5:44 left. Not looking good for the Ponies.

SMU is going to be what they're going to be in Week 14. If they win today, it will look better when we beat 'em.

Utah is losing convincingly.

That's true, but I think that today was going to be a major indicator of if they were average, above average, or good. Because both Baylor and TCU are solid teams, and also I know in my head that SMU being bad is good for us in that it's another likely win but in my heart I will root against Sonny until the end of time

SMU QB Jennings is not 100%, ankle and elbow injuries.

NC State up 14-7 at Duke after 99yd drive.

Our ACC opponents not doing well this week.

Clemson might just suck this year.

This is what would have happened to Cal if we hadn't taken the ACC offer.

The ACC has been great in terms of exposure. It's a shame that Cal is not getting a full share, but it's significantly more money than what the alternative would have paid.

It is frustrating because as much as I love JKS, in the current structure you need to put the best QB on the field each year and never count on a guy to be back. It is hard to even fantasize about a fully developed JKS playing for Cal because we don't know if he will even be here.

Despite all the talk of leveling up at QB, it was and is unlikely that we did that THIS YEAR. Whatever happened with Mendoza, he was clearly unhappy with the coaching staff. They needed to make that right and get him to come back. And frankly, if Mendoza felt that the coaching staff had his back, the whole Mendoza-JKS incident probably doesn't happen.

We should have been able to have both. JKS will be an awesome QB, hopefully at Cal, but this year we needed to keep the experienced, talented guy on the team for one more year.

That said, JKS isn't the problem on this team by any stretch.
