I am waiting for the announcement. Ron on the other hand wants to wait until the end of the season and hopes Wilcox pulls out a rabbit against SMU. STOP IT RON !

Just fire him !

Ron is asking for another 6-6 season !

As I said, Ron is slowly losing his ethos as days go by !

He is playing the game we once all played !

"One more year" - Ron

Make the move so we can party !

The longer Ron waits, the more he looks like he just isn't the man for the job. After yesterday, if he doesn't have all the evidence he needs to fire Wilcox, then he will never have it. He is coming across as indecisive at a time where we need strong, decisive leadership. It makes no sense to wait until after the SMU game or the Nobody Gives a Crap Bowl game. Do it now and give the new head coach a chance to built a staff before the player portal opens and other programs do their head coach hiring. Be among the first to hire, not the last.

If he's employed by CAL a week from now, he'll be employed by CAL in September of next year.

GO - you are absolutely right on here. The unfortunate truth is that Cal has never been among the first to hire (or fire in the first place). You know it, I know it, deep down all Old Blues know it. I am very skeptical about that changing now, but still hold out that bit of hope that it will.

Yes. It is stupid to wait until after a meaningless bowl game to fire your coach and be last sorting through the unripe or overripe apples left in the bin. That is how we ended up with Wilcox in the first place. I would fire him now, but waiting until after SMU and letting him be dead man walking for a week while publicly calling for fans to support him/"the team" is what we will probably do.

Lyons should have fired Knowlton last year and brought Rivera in to be head coach last year, or at least this year. I did not think GM was his best role, but we can only hope at this point.

One can only hope that RR is quietly working on a plan to strengthen the Cal football program. Just because he hasn't made any public moves doesn't mean he's not working behind the scenes. Stanford seems to be heading in a positive direction, while Cal's future remains uncertain.
