I hope that this "committee" doesn't take forever to vet the finalists. Usually, that kind of oversight has more to do with the committee members trying to justify their service on the committee. Give 'em 24 hours to research/opine on the top 3 and send in their findings to RR by noon the next day. And, that's generous. I hope that this is not RR hedging his bets.

What would you propose? Coaches are coming off the board already. The longer it goes on, the more it appears that there is a secret deal already made. "Well, I'm not going to make the call in a vacuum, but by the time we finished our process, those other guys had gone elsewhere."

My guess is that RR has a pretty good idea of who he wants and it's not going to be universally popular. So, he's trying to figure out fund raising when some might hold back.
