With his honors this week and poised last drive, not to mention his talent ceiling, the Vultures are not doubtably circling hourly and going for the kill. Especially some of the top programs that just got a new head coach. They are making promises to their new program of retaining and inquiring new transfers. They want to star to lead with him. I don't see him staying. It's not just about the money. The talent surrounding other players like online and wr, leave or play against other high star teams, brand and coverage comes into play. If he can get money plus all of that, we have nothing to compete. We are a bottom dwelling team for quite some time, with no HC, hardly the money and no valued players consistently, and we travel so dam far.
There's a chance he's a true golden bear and wants to build something. But we have to give him all of those things. The HC we hire and when we hire him, is just as important. If we hire, which is likely, some Group of 5 coach, or a low level OC or DC, it's not going to keep him. Will stein, Jim mora are our best hope. I would be supposed to see jake Savitol be a contender (not that I want him as he's left twice). Desean Jackson would be a good hire later after more experience. Right now, he's too new, doesn't understand the NIL and the complexity of the poverty Cal is in. But if he did, he'd bring good WR as I assume he's be the WR coach as part of his duties. All in all, I'm hopeful.
