Does Cal have the money to play in his game?

I've said it for years…yes, to use terminology from my 10 year old that I don't fully understand: not only do we have the money to be mid but we have the money to be the rizz of the rizz.
Also I think my suspicions are correct as Greg has let it slip quite a few times that the money to be crem da la crem is in fact patiently waiting to emerge under the right circumstances.

With his honors this week and poised last drive, not to mention his talent ceiling, the Vultures are not doubtably circling hourly and going for the kill. Especially some of the top programs that just got a new head coach. They are making promises to their new program of retaining and inquiring new transfers. They want to star to lead with him. I don't see him staying. It's not just about the money. The talent surrounding other players like online and wr, leave or play against other high star teams, brand and coverage comes into play. If he can get money plus all of that, we have nothing to compete. We are a bottom dwelling team for quite some time, with no HC, hardly the money and no valued players consistently, and we travel so dam far.
There's a chance he's a true golden bear and wants to build something. But we have to give him all of those things. The HC we hire and when we hire him, is just as important. If we hire, which is likely, some Group of 5 coach, or a low level OC or DC, it's not going to keep him. Will stein, Jim mora are our best hope. I would be supposed to see jake Savitol be a contender (not that I want him as he's left twice). Desean Jackson would be a good hire later after more experience. Right now, he's too new, doesn't understand the NIL and the complexity of the poverty Cal is in. But if he did, he'd bring good WR as I assume he's be the WR coach as part of his duties. All in all, I'm hopeful.

If Cal today was like Cal when I attended, a preacher like Holy Hubert might be able to convince him that Jesus wants him to stay in Berkeley to save the souls of the dirty hippie heathens. Today, with White Christian Nationalism being a thing and TPUSA on tour at the Cal campus, it may take a different approach.

"My soul needs a savin' brother."
